#ULImagesInTheWild
In this task we had to go around Lincoln town and the campus to capture everyday images in the public eye. The criteria these had to meet were that it was a real photograph and a form of advertising.
I took this picture from a beauty advert. Originally it was a full face of a female with heavy eye-makeup and painted nails on show; but I felt that once I have cropped it to this that it looked more detailed and alluring. The shade of red and the yellow hue and wash all over gives it a vintage and retro vibe which is something I find aesthetically appealing. This image can also suggest some ideals of beauty we currently have in society and shows how this female has very ideal or even perfect facial features.
This image was sourced by a member of my group. I liked this image as it is of the music icon, David Bowie. I hugely admire this artist and thoroughly enjoy his music which draws me in immediately. However, I like this image due to how it is cropped and close up too, allowing for more detail to come through. The desaturated colouring also makes it look more dramatic and ‘cool’.
